Louisiana Tech's cross country program will open up the 2014 season Saturday morning as it hosts the Mook 5 at Tech Farm in Ruston.

Louisiana Tech head coach Gary Stanley announced the program's 2014 cross country schedule Thursday with Tech hosting the annual Mook 5 race to open the season.

Louisiana Tech received 11 accolades this week as the All-Louisiana track and field marks were announced by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA).

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Monday its list of those Division I student-athletes who earned All-America honors for the 2014 outdoor season with Louisiana Tech claiming eight honors in all.

Joshua Cox recorded a top-15 finish in his first appearance on the national level as the NCAA Championships came to a close Saturday at Heyward Field in Eugene.
